How it All Started
I'm Billy, I'm 19, and I sell couches. Here’s my story.
The Living Room
March 2023
My Dad and I picked up my first couch together. I cleaned it in my parents' living room, listed it, and delivered it the next night in the rain. This is the couch that started it all.
My First Storage Unit
April 2023
The living room filled up fast. My Dad came with me again to sign for my first storage unit, a 10x20 storage locker in Fenton. It wasn't big enough for long. I upgraded to a 10x40, then rented a second one, then a third.
The Box Truck
March 2024
For a year, I hauled every couch in my pickup truck, one at a time. As more people started buying, one couch per trip wasn't enough anymore. In March 2024, I bought a box truck so I could haul more couches at once. Pickups got faster, deliveries got easier, and the business could finally keep up with demand.
Leaving Highschool
2024
In 2024, I left high school to run Billy's Couches full-time. I didn't know exactly where it was headed, but I knew I'd figure it out. From there, I went all in on couches. That same year, I hired my first team member.
The Warehouse
Cleaning couches in an outdoor storage unit in the middle of winter wasn't easy. It was another one of those decisions: level up or quit. For me, there was only one option. On October 1st, 2025, we got the keys to our warehouse in Pacific, Missouri. It's 3,000 sq ft with our own bathroom and, most importantly, a heater. Come out and visit! 😁
